Tbern Foundation in partnership with Small Actions for Enterprise, a national non-governmental organization and other participants will help implement a Participatory Restoration of Keta’s Socio-Ecological Production Landscapes and Seascapes towards societies living in harmony with nature. The aim is to keep Keta Clean, beautify the environment especially the beaches and help plant more trees specifically coconut trees to help restore the old pride of Keta.
On 25th and 26th May 2019, Tbern Foundation planted about 200 coconut seedlings along the coast of Keta in the Volta Region of Ghana. Coconut trees, also known as the tree of life provides the much-needed shade along the coast as well as stabilizing the soil against erosion. Along the shore, a high wall of coconut trees helps protect the land from the hurricane winds and tropical storms. Due to the environmental and economic benefits of coconut trees, it is our goal to plant over 10,000 coconut trees along the coast of Ghana in the next few years.
A massive thank you to everyone who supported us in our beach clean up exercise on Christmas Day, 2019 at Keta Beach in the Volta Region of Ghana. The best gift we can give Mother Earth is to keep it clean and green. #cleanenvironment #cleanbeach #greenearth #cleanearth.
