Beach Cleaning Exercise Held at Keta
Date: 28th APRIL 2019
Our Beach Clean Up Exercise in the month of April coincided with the World Earth Day which is a day set aside for environmental consciousness and awareness. In Keta, our beach clean up crew collected so much trash including non coastline debris, weed and lots of plastic bottles from the coastline. A clean and beautiful beach starts with each and everyone of us. We received massive support from the MCE for Keta Municipality Hon.Godwin Effah during this exercise and thanks to all who joined us.
Coconut Tree Planting Exercise Held At Keta Beach In The Volta Region.
Date: 25th MAY 2019
On 25th and 26th May 2019, Tbern Foundation planted about 200 coconut seedlings along the coast of Keta in the Volta Region of Ghana. Coconut trees, also known as the tree of life provides the much-needed shade along the coast as well as stabilizing the soil against erosion. Along the shore, a high wall of coconut trees helps protect the land from the hurricane winds and tropical storms. Due to the environmental and economic benefits of coconut trees, it is our goal to plant over 10,000 coconut trees along the coast of Ghana in the next few years.
